It's Friday which means no 3-year-olds. I did a more thorough inspection of the bus today and discovered the alarms on the right emergency window and the back emergency door are not sounding. Wendy says the back door worked on Wed. I checked it again and the buzzer just had some grit on it that was keeping the mechanism from popping back into place. Jim purposely detached the window alarm a few months ago because it was sounding at the slightest bump. The latch was supposed to be fixed over Christmas but I think it got forgotten. I sent a friendly reminder over to Jim and Amy to get it back on their radar.
Stella had a new 🎵 song for us today, just as entertaining as yesterday's but I didn't catch the words well enough to remember them.
Out at Megan's the semi truck 🚚 that's been parked where we normally drive had been moved a bit but I want sure how much. I made a split-second decision to turn when I realized I could get through and almost threw Linlee out of her seat. It's a good thing Kaci was there to stop her.
We stopped in at the Co-op to fuel up ⛽. We must have hit the lunch hour rush because they were packed. We got a kick out of Larry's "which-way-are-you-going-to-go" dance as I tried to decide if I should wait for the full service line to free up or pull up to the self serve pumps.
Evelyn is sick today so we had a little extra time to stop in at the library 📚. They've move the two square tables to the back whe the sun shines. It's a nice little place to camp for a minute or two.
Newton wasn't out waiting for us like normal. I played a little stop-arm boogie as cars needed to get by while we waited for him.
No Collin, Omari, or Gavin so just Louis and back to the school.
Kate drove past me at the school's NE crosswalk. She gave a big smile and a friendly wave. I miss working with that lady.
